Overview

The Rules Management System is specifically designed to help Legal and Compliance record and manage their “content compliance” related guidance, rules and wording.

 

The System is primarily intended to help organisations whose content is subject to a large number of different regulations and / or regulations that are complex. For example, where:

 

  • There is a need to manage regulations from multiple jurisdictions

  • Products or services are heavily regulated and where those regulations require a wide range of disclaimers, risk warnings and footnotes to be used

The Rules Management System holds the following information:​

  • The name and reference of each content related regulation and regulatory clause that applies to the organisation

  • For each and every regulatory clause / requirement, the company specific:

    • Interpretation of the regulatory requirement i.e. how the organisation wants to comply with the regulation

    • Rule(s) regarding:

      • The criteria that would result in the regulatory clause / requirement being triggered

      • Any compliance wording  that is needed to be included in the content (Wording can be held in any language)

      • Where any compliance wording needs to be located and how it needs to be displayed

The information in the system can be managed internally or, Athena can manage it for you.

    • Update the rule and any guidance or wording associated with the rule
